I hail from: Michigan
About me: I recently went back to work to learn as much as I can about running a small business. I have been a stay at home mom for several years and I enjoy getting back into the workplace now that my kids are a little older.
I have lived in: I grew up in Michigan, and then lived in Chicago for ten years before moving to Charlotte in 1995.
A place I'm dying to visit: I will go to any tropical island…give me a cocktail, a beach chair, and a cabana boy and I will enjoy myself.
My favorite activities: I enjoy any activity that takes place outdoors. One of the things I love most about Charlotte is that you can be outdoors year round. I also enjoy following the Panthers and the Bobcats.
Why Emerson Joseph: When I interviewed for the job, I was asked why I wanted to work at Emerson Joseph. I answered, "I like beer, sports and men". I was hired on the spot.
Jeffrey Roma

I hail from: Niagara Falls, NY
About me: I have been in the grooming industry for over eleven years now, starting my career path as a licensed cosmetologist. Over the years I started to develop a passion and talent for men's hair cutting which led me to Boulder, CO to attend the American Crew academy for men's hair cutting. After this experience, I knew I wanted to become an educator. After several advanced classes, I became a "Regional Educator" and have now advanced to "Team Crew".
I have lived in: Niagara Falls, NY; Olean, NY; and Charlotte.
My favorite activities: I love to go antique hunting. I have a very large collection of Depression glass, and a few pieces of antique furniture…but there is always room for more. Cooking is another favorite hobby of mine. I love to cook for friends and have informal get-togethers.
Why Emerson Joseph: I recently joined Emerson Joseph as "Technical Director" so I can share my knowledge and experience with other stylists and fulfill my own dreams and goals.

I hail from: Louisville, KY
About me: I have been a hairstylist for three years, but I've worked in the industry for over seven years. I love cutting hair, as well as styling. I'm a very outspoken and talkative person (but only when my clients want to talk). I'm also very passionate about my beliefs and it has been said that it is easy to tell how I'm feeling with one look at me. I am from a very big family of seven children, so I can handle just about anything. Don't be surprised if my hair is different every time you come in. I like to experiment and work on my "style" constantly.
I have lived in: Kentucky, Minnesota, Illinois and Charlotte.
A place I'm dying to visit: I really want to go to Egypt. It is very exotic and I am impressed by the pyramids and the history.
My favorite activities: I enjoy dancing, reading, traveling and sleeping. The one drawback of work is that it encroaches on sleep time!
Why Emerson Joseph: Emerson Joseph is a new business and I was ready for a new start. I was very excited when I met Stacy and Shelly for the first time. They were very passionate about the business. Their actions showed that this business can't fail and that is motivating. I love the area in Uptown, the people I work with and the potential of the business. They took a chance on me, saw my potential and decided to let me share their dream.

I have lived in: Charlotte, NC.
About me: I love Charlotte with all the excitement the city brings which is why I lived in Uptown for two years. I like going to the Panthers games and tailgate parties. In the summer, I like throwing on my bikini, finding a warm beach to lie on, or chilling on the back of a boat.
Places I'd love to visit: I would like to visit the beaches of the Caribbean or Mexico. Being an anonymous Senorita would be fun for one week a year.
My favorite things: One of my favorite things to do—like many women—is to go shopping. Window shopping, a spontaneous purchase, or shopping for a good date can all be fun! I also love to take road trips and let the wind whip around me with the top down on my convertible. It is so relaxing; sometimes I need a driver to take over while I cat nap.
Why Emerson Joseph: I chose to work at EJ because I want to be in Uptown where you can meet different and interesting people and to be in the middle of everything going on.

I hail from: Charlotte, NC
About me: I graduated from the Aveda Institute with my Estheticians License. I love to travel and one day I am going to travel through Europe. I'm very sociable and outgoing. I love what I do and very excited to be working at Emerson Joseph.
I have lived in: I have lived in Minnesota, Michigan and North Carolina.
A place I'm dying to visit: I've always dreamed of going to the Tuscan Region of Italy…dark, handsome, and passionate comes to mind. Unfortunately, I don't speak Italian, but I'm certain I'll be able to work through the language barrier!
My favorite activities: I love water sports and I am an avid reader. I have even been known to read while water skiing! I've been reading a lot of investment books lately so if any of you bankers have a tip or two, I'm listening. I also like to go out with my friends, but unfortunately I am unable to work when I am sleep deprived; therefore, I have instated a self-imposed curfew of midnight. However, rules were made to be broken!!
Why Emerson Joseph: Emerson Joseph has a sophistication about it that exceeds what you find at most spas. I wanted to be a part of a classy organization that fills an obvious void in the market. I work with wonderful people and I'm proud to be a part of the team.

I have lived in: Greensboro, NC; Chicago, IL; Mobile, AL; Charlotte, NC
About me: I was born in Greensboro, NC and have been a Nail Technician for 16 years. I went to Leon's Beauty Academy in Greensboro for my education and have years of experience in the salon and spa industry, however, I'm not all work and no play. I enjoy a good Vodka and grapefruit juice, minus the seeds, and a good book (I prefer Bios). When I'm feeling a little frisky, I love to play practical jokes; anything for a good, hearty laugh.
Places I'd love to visit: I've always wanted to visit Fiji.
My favorite things: At the end of the day, I love to come home and have a (you guessed it) vodka and grapefruit juice, watch one of my favorite movies, either The Green Mile or Radio, and relax on the couch with a hot plate of food. I love to visit the mountains on the weekends, when I'm not shopping or playing with new nephew.
Why Emerson Joseph: I thought it was something new and exciting to be apart of. It sounded like a great opportunity.

About me: I have been happily married for 34 years and I have three grown boys who all live in Charlotte. I'm an accomplished trombone player. I played for 40 years, but I've now retired from playing. One of these days I may come out of retirement for a day or two here and there to play for my co-workers at Emerson Joseph.
I have lived in: Augusta, GA and Charlotte, NC.
A place I'm dying to visit: I really want to visit Las Vegas. I have traveled extensively throughout the US with my band, but Las Vegas somehow slipped through the cracks.
My favorite activities: Playing piano and singing.
Why Emerson Joseph: A good friend, Grady Parker, told me about Emerson Joseph. He said that they were looking for a trustworthy, hard-working person with experience. I knew that I was that person.

About me: I have been a stylist for 14 years and I'm currently pursuing a degree in Therapeutic Massage.
I have lived in: Boston, MA; Houston, TX; Atlanta, GA; Panama City Beach, FL; and Charlotte.
A place I'm dying to visit: Any white, sandy, crystal blue watered beach with a warm tropical breeze.
My favorite activities: Cooking, good books, watching the sunset with a tropical drink in hand, and shopping until I drop. I've been known to tape my ankles on any given Saturday before my marathon shopping sprees.
Why Emerson Joseph: After meeting Shelly, Stacy, and Jim, they shared their vision of what they wanted Emerson Joseph to be. I knew I would love to be a part of a team committed to the quality and elite specialty services that this men's grooming lounge offers.

About me: I moved to Miami is 2005 to get out of the small town I grew up in & have some fun!…not the mention the beautiful year-around weather! I moved here to Charlotte at the end of 2007 to be close to my family again & meet & settle down with a nice man, eventually! I've been a stylist for over 10 years. Since I was a young girl, I wanted to be in this business. My grandfather was a barber, my uncle & cousins are barbers & still run & work at our family barber shop in Mineola, NY. I guess you can say it's in my blood.
I've lived in: Long Island, Miami, Charlotte
A place I'm dying to visit: There are lots of places on my to-do list, but I've heard Greece had the world's most beautiful beaches.
My favorite activities include: Spending time with my nephew, Matthew & my niece, Sarah. I also really love to travel. I'm in heaven when I'm sitting on the beach or on a boat. I love to go out dancing with the girls or playing games at home with friends & family.
Why Emerson Joseph? I chose to work at Emerson Joseph because, although Stacy & Shelly are difficult to work with & no fun at all, I was intrigued by its uniqueness. Clearly, on the 'About Me' section, I should have admitted that I have a real problem sucking up to the boss!!

Jason "The New Guy" Solomonson has been committed to Emerson Joseph well before joining our team in 2007. For years Jason has been promoting EJ throughout the Charlotte Community through his extensive personal and business relationships. Originally from Northern Virginia, Jason has called Charlotte home since 1994. His original goal was to move south and find a "good southern woman"…he exceeded that goal find a "great southern woman" and many other goals in his personal/professional life to this point. In addition to developing strong business relationships, Jason enjoys spending time with his wife and growing family, playing match play golf with his friends, re-raising with a 3-7 off suit in last position against strangers, and anything that resembles an epic adventure.
