About me: I've been married for over 20 years to a great guy. We have three children ages 7, 16&21. Prior to moving to the Charlotte area, we lived in Philadelphia where I was a manager&then owner of a large day spa&salon. If I had my way, I would spend most of my time visiting exotic beaches. I love to travel. I also enjoy yoga, spending time with my kids&writing.

A place I'm dying to visit: Morocco - anywhere with a great beach!
My favorite activities:yoga, gardening, being outside in warm, beautiful weather, writing
Why Emerson Joseph: I was looking to get back into the spa/salon business&was researching businesses in the Charlotte market. I really liked this idea. Also, I thought it would be a fun change of pace to work with men after years of working with women.

About me: My passion is the Salon & Spa industry. I have been in this industry for 7 years; positions including Assistant to Reception to Management. I am originally from Northern NJ-don't think Snookie-and the oldest of 7 children. The most important thing to me is a positive environment where my skills can flourish.
I have lived: New Jersey, Virginia & North Carolina-clearly I like the Eastern Seaboard!
A place I'm dying to visit: I would love to visit Italy someday, although my favorite place I have been is Maui, HI.
My favorite activities: I love being outdoors; running, hanging by the pool, and relaxing in the back yard with a good book rank high on my list of fun things to do. I enjoy interior design and fashion-anything to do with color. My favorite thing of all is music! A good live show heals what ails ya! I spend most of the year waiting for football season.I love it! Go GIANTS!
Why Emerson Joseph: I chose EJ because of the concept; letting the men in our lives enjoy the experience that women have been enjoying for years-but in a really masculine environment that is cool & inviting.

I hail from: Niagara Falls, NY
About me: I have been in the grooming industry for over eleven years now, starting my career path as a licensed cosmetologist. Over the years I started to develop a passion and talent for men's hair cutting which led me to Boulder, CO to attend the American Crew academy for men's hair cutting. After this experience, I knew I wanted to become an educator. After several advanced classes, I became a "Regional Educator" and have now advanced to "Team Crew".
I have lived in: Niagara Falls, NY; Olean, NY; and Charlotte.
My favorite activities: I love to go antique hunting. I have a very large collection of Depression glass, and a few pieces of antique furniture... but there is always room for more. Cooking is another favorite hobby of mine. I love to cook for friends and have informal get-togethers.
Why Emerson Joseph: I recently joined Emerson Joseph as "Technical Director" so I can share my knowledge and experience with other stylists and fulfill my own dreams and goals.

About me: I love Charlotte with all the excitement the city brings which is why I lived in Uptown for two years. I like going to the Panthers games and tailgate parties. In the summer, I like throwing on my bikini, finding a warm beach to lie on, or chilling on the back of a boat.
Places I'd love to visit: I would like to visit the beaches of the Caribbean or Mexico. Being an anonymous Senorita would be fun for one week a year.
My favorite things: One of my favorite things to do--like many women--is to go shopping. Window shopping, a spontaneous purchase, or shopping for a good date can all be fun! I also love to take road trips and let the wind whip around me with the top down on my convertible. It is so relaxing; sometimes I need a driver to take over while I cat nap.
Why Emerson Joseph: I chose to work at EJ because I want to be in Uptown where you can meet different and interesting people and to be in the middle of everything going on.

About Me: My father was in the Coast Guard so I have lived all of the east Coast; which was a great experience. I went to UNC Wilmington and graduated with a BS in Exercise Science in 2001. I then became a certified trainer and trained clients for over 6 years and loved it. It was then that I decided to go back to school and become a cosmetologist. I now live in Uptown Charlotte and do what I love…cut hair!

My favorite activities: Run races, wakeboard, wakesurf, and play with my two dogs Dixie and Stoli.
Why Emerson Joseph?: You can find a few of my favorite things under one roof; men, sports and beer. It is a very cool atmosphere and I get to work with a great staff.

I have lived in: Mount Airy, NC, Dallas, TX, and Charlotte
About me: I have been working in this field for 3 years. It is so rewarding and inspiring. I love being in this field of work because there is always something new to learn and new people to meet. I lived in the country for 18 years but I knew in my heart that I needed to explore and experience the city life. I moved straight to Dallas, TX where I was enrolled at the International Dermal Institute. After being there I realized that I liked the city life but I wanted to be a bit closer to home. Charlotte seemed like the perfect balance. I am still learning all about the city but I look forward to making it my NEW home.
Places I'd love to visit: I am half Italian and with that being said, I would absolutely love to visit Italy. Trying out the foods and exploring the history of the countryside.
My favorite things: I would say that my family and my friends mean the most to me so whenever I have the chance to be with them that's where I am. Also I'm a country girl at heart so whenever new seasons come around there is always something new to be involved in like hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, muddin' or just going to the local swimming hole (The river). I also love cooking, singing, but most importantly I love doing hair.
Why Emerson Joseph: The first time I ever walked into Emerson Joseph everyone made me feel so welcome and I knew right then if I was offered the job that was where I needed to be. I loved the refined yet masculine atmosphere. Also when you walk through our doors all you have to do is relax. Everyone that works for Emerson Joseph is not just there because its there job, its there passion and we all live our life wanting to make yours even better. About me: I have been happily married for 34 years and I have three grown boys who all live in Charlotte. I'm an accomplished trombone player. I played for 40 years, but I've now retired from playing. One of these days I may come out of retirement for a day or two here and there to play for my co-workers at Emerson Joseph.
I have lived in: Augusta, GA and Charlotte, NC.
A place I'm dying to visit: I really want to visit Las Vegas. I have traveled extensively throughout the US with my band, but Las Vegas somehow slipped through the cracks.
My favorite activities: Playing piano and singing.
Why Emerson Joseph: A good friend, Grady Parker, told me about Emerson Joseph. He said that they were looking for a trustworthy, hard-working person with experience. I knew that I was that person.

Why Emerson Joseph: EJ was exactly what I was looking for- an upscale men's establishment. I have been in the business for 16 years and had worked in the same barber shop in Wlimington for the past 11 years. When I heard about EJ, I knew I wanted to work here.

About me: I am your original southern girl from Charlotte North Carolina! I have been working in the beauty industry for over three years now and I absolutely love it. I am very much a people person and enjoy meeting new faces everyday. I enjoy being uptown with all the excitement and fast past lifestyle it brings. Before Charlotte I lived in Dallas, Texas a few years but Charlotte is still where my home is. I look forward to growing in the city and expanding my knowledge in the grooming industry.

A place I'm dying to visit: Anywhere I can throw on my bikini and be on a warm tropical island! I would also love to visit Italy and Spain.
My favorite activities: I am very close with my family and love to spend time with them as much and when I can. I also have an American Pit bull who is my baby and my best friend at home! When I am not working you can find me riding one of my horses, spending time with friends, relaxing at a nice restaurant with patio on a beautiful day and watching football. I am a HUGE football fan and enjoy most all sports.
Why Emerson Joseph: When I started at Emerson Joseph it all made sense to me why I would love it here. A great staff, poker room, beer and and very refined atmosphere. What a great idea to have a grooming salon catered just for men uptown.

I hail from: Oakdale, a small town outside of Charlotte, NC.
About me: I first started out in this industry when I was 15 years old. Sweeping all that hair made me fall in love with the beauty & wellness industry. I attended the Aveda Institue of Charlotte in 2005 for Esthiology and then followed that with Cosmetology; earning my licenses in both. At times people think I am a bit shy and reserved... but how about you come on in and see for yourself.
I have lived: Beautiful Santa Barbara, California as well as Lake Norman & Wilmington, NC.
A place I'm dying to visit: Since part of my family heritage is French, I'd love to explore all of France and get a little better sense of my family history. I am determined to one day be able to add France to the list of "places I have lived", too! Also, there's just something about getting on a boat and sailing around the Mediteranean that really puts a smile on my face!
My favorite activities: Number one would have to be my precious kitty Figaroo - although he was cheated out of nine lives. Because I am a Vegan, veggies & fruits rank high on my list of favorites. Of my Mother & Grandmother "Dot Dot" top the list, followed closely by my two brothers, Seth & Evan. I also really love to write; give me my blue pen & journal, and I can disappear for hours. To satisfy my creative side - outside of work - I stick with paint and make-up artistry. Both are a good avenue for a creative outlet outside of hair.
Why Emerson Joseph: I have spent time in different areas of this industry and was definitely yearning for change. Emerson Joseph has what I want in a career; a relaxing atmosphere that is classy but not uptight. We all have so much fun here!

About me: I have a wonderful husband, and two awesome boys, and a beautiful dog round out the family. I have been a massage therapist of many years and been using my therapy techniques to help people feel better and overcome many ailments. I have always been drawn to biology, holistic health & alternative medicine, so massage therapy was a natural course for my career. I hope to one day have a PhD in Alternative Medicine.
A place I'm dying to visit: Tahitian Islands and the 7 Wonders of the World are on my hit list.
My favorite activities: I love a really good adrenaline rush so anything that gives ne one, you can count me it! Other than that, I enjoy spending time with my family, zip-lines, 4-wheeling, volleyball, drawing, writing, reading, watching Buffalo and the Yankees and taking classes.
Why Emerson Joseph: When I walked into Emerson Joseph, it was absolutely full and there was not one unhappy face in the building. I knew I was home. Everyone is very friendly and very positive. When you can walk in a place day after day, and still feel that same positive energy, you know you want to be a part of it.
